Success for Fort Erie Credit Union in 2010!
We held our 60th Annual General Meeting on Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at Bridgewater Golf and Country Club on Gilmore Road in Fort Erie Ontario.
There were 87 members and 14 guests in attendance. All members and special guests were welcomed to the meeting by President Barrie Golding, including Tony D'Errico, Regional Manager of the Deposit Insurance Corporation of Ontario (DICO).
President Barrie Golding introduced Town Councilor Stephen Passero who was very complimentary in his address to the membership on behalf of the Mayor.
For fiscal year 2010, Net Income was reported as $234,877, Assets sustained the $50+ million benchmark achieved in 2009 and Members' Equity grew to just over $3 million.
Many door prizes were won throughout the evening and a light buffet was enjoyed following the adjournment.
Directors Bill Daley and Jim Opie were re-elected by acclamation to the board for a 3 year term along with new Director Nancy Brown.
Staff awards were presented ..... Perfect Attendance ..... Loan Officer Patti Carpenter, Head Teller Heather Lorking, MSR Valerie Gagnon and PT MSR Tami Johnsen ..... 10 Years of Service ..... MSR Doreen Barnes and PT MSR Jane Freeman.

Ridgeway-Crystal Beach High School 'Small Change Program' provided a presentation faciliated by PT MSR Tami Johnsen. The students' commitment to this worthwhile project was evident in the significant increase in micro-loans to individuals from 6 countries in their first year of operation to now 62 countries in their third year of lending.
A big 'Thank You' to the AGM committee for their hard work in organizing this event, to the Fort Erie Credit Union staff for their assistance both before and throughout the evening and to Bridgewater Golf and Country Club for their professional presentation and for providing the refreshments.
